Welcome to the website of Christine Stephenson, Medical Herbalist, BSc MNIMH. Christine has been practicing in West Wales since attaining her degree in Herbal Medicine 2002 and is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (established in 1864). She is also a qualified Reflexologist (see page for Reflexology). Christine has recently (in 2024) completed a course in Endobiogenic Medicine which is an integrated form of medicine, which aims to understand the complexity of the body as a whole, and in particular, understanding how the Endocrine and Nervous systems work together, using herbs to re-balance these systems.
The holistic approach of herbal medicine may be helpful with regard to:-
- chronic health conditions (see Herbal Approach for conditions that Herbalists commonly treat)
- health maintenance and prevention of disease
- restoration of vitality after illness
- support through the transition of the menopause
- support alongside other medical treatment
- help with health as we age
- seasonal change and its impact on health
